The Pegasus was born in 1983 as Nike’s most famous cushioning shoe. For almost 30 years this shoe has been consistent in providing neutral or slightly under pronating runners with a lightweight shoe to use in their daily training. The Pegasus+ 27 came this summer 2010 with some new modifications on its upper and sole unit. It has a true gender specific engineering with very rich attention to details. It is an all around shoe that is meant to fit a variety of runners.

The sole unit of the Pegasus 27 is very similar to the sole unit of the Pegasus 25 and 26 but it has a Nike Air unit in the heel. Midsole material is changed from Phylon to Cushlon. It has a crash pad under the heel which is gender specific. It has an additional removable Dual Layer Ortholite Sockliner which adds extra cushioning under the foot.
